Menard's probably has a book. how to wire your house for dummy's...
If it is sold at Menard's it probably fell off of a container ship from China and was not worth the effort to retrieve it from the water, but John Menard did so he could clean it up and sell it to you so it would break in six months hoping you will stop in and buy another chunk of Chinese made shit.
Can you tell my thoughts on Menard's?
I have found out that buying "name brand" stuff there is not even worth while since they but name brand packaging on cheap crap so they can sell it there.
Menard's=Wal Mart
Menard's leases out floor space to the individual vendors, Square D, Kohler, Mohawk, etc. and takes a cut of the sale. the vendors want their stuff in theses stores so they create cheaper lines of products, sometimes they look identical, like faucets, and sell them at a discount rate in these stores.
People do not know there is any difference and when they break in two years they go back and get a new one.
If you buy a $50.00 faucet from Menard's it may look just like the $110.00 one they sell at the plumbing supply house, but it is plastic with cheap internals, and will break in 2 to 5 years. The $110.00 one will last a life time, if it starts to leak you can change the o ring inside.
A $60.00 stainless steel sink from Menard's is a little bit thicker than tin foil, the $100.00 one from the supply house is much heaver. I have seen a steak knife go through the bottom of a big box store $60.00 sink.
I am not picking on Menard's they are all the same, Lowe's, Home Depot, all of them.
When a guy gives you a quote to install a new garage door opener for $500.00 and you can buy an opener at Home Depot for $85.00, youthink he is being greedy, he is probably getting you an opener of much higher quality than the $85.00 you can buy.
Same with furnaces, water heaters, doors (especially doors!!!) windows, and appliances.
You get what you pay for!
