which winch bumper?

http://staangsfab.com/products-1/jeep-cherokee-xj/

Best god damn bumper I've ever seen. I installed it on my buddys XJ and its ridiculously awesome and insanely well built. I'm buying one for my new XJ next week too.

Looks good but still 135 bucks more then a Logans Bumper....plus Im not to sure about this quote for description of the bumper "Some winches require the grill to be trimmed" No way I'm hacking my grill up. I do like the hi-lift jack points on each side, that's awesome!

99% of winches work fine. We put on a 10 000lbs Titan winch and it pressed against the grill but didnt need trimming.

I know the guy that builds these and hes a stand up guy and would go to the ends of the earth to please.

I'm sure you wouldn't need to trim your grill but the approach angle is well worth the very small clearence given to the winch infront of the grill. Its about as close as most non-winch bumpers.

By the way guys, That Staangs fab bumper I posted, the guy may make a lower price for you guys given that it would get a lot of publicity from guys running them in the states now. When he sells to someone in a new area hes usually willing to come down a bit and he'll give you a bunch of stickers you can put on your rig if you want.

AJs. Was a bit pricey ($650 shipped) and quite a long wait (about 5 months).

I wouldn't order from him again for those two reasons, but the bumper tucked in very nicely. Had to trim the grill for my M8000, but who the hell cares? The approach angle was nice.

The last thing Foxwar and Mopar need to do is grow up. But reading posts does seem to keep unpleasurable remarks at bay.

As for a bumper, I like the looks of the OR FAB front bumper and JCR's set-up. AJ's is nice but after hearing about many other having issues with how long his stuff takes, I feel as I would take my money elsewhere.

Of course I need to grow up, I just never will .!.:D.!.

Any winch bumper that uses/ties into the steering box bolts and the other extra holes is a good bumper. Looks just comes down to preference.

Either Mark's Backbone winch bumper

-OR-

Have him make you one of these. I forgot the cost but it was very reasonable...and yes it ties into the same spots that most of the winch bumpers on here do. The passenger side looks a tiny bit off in the last pic....but you can see that it's my front quarter that's squashed....

Mark's a great guy to deal with....tell him Ben sent you....he's a good cat

honestly I am open to anything....I like beefy looking bumpers and I like the tube bumpers also. I have looked at tons of different kinds, and thats the problem, there are sooo many different kinds and I like a bunch of them. JCR, ARB, Rigid are some of my favs...but I am open to anything right now and figured if you guys told me your favorites I could narrow it down.
Look at Loose-Nuts. I'm looking at maybe replacing my front bumper with one from him. I like the winch mount and fairlead mount better than my current one. I'll probably keep my current bumper until I break it or something. That's not likely to happen anytime soon. I'll probably modify those parts.

If I made one
He asked what would you buy not make. not sur ehe's into making a bumper.

had not seen AJ's either, they look clean and well built. I wish I could see them in person before I made my decision.

I have AJ's bumper. Very stout and great fit. It only took 4 weeks to get mine. Nice thing about AJ is you can add anything you want to his base bumper to make it exactly what you want.
