I recently picked up an 01 XJ with ABS and the awful D35. It's been giving me issues (axle seal, brake cylinder leaking) I need to replace the rear springs as well and figured I'd like to swap in an 8.25 while I'm at it.
I know there is no way to keep the ABS, and I don't really care if I have ABS or not i really just use the Jeep for errands around town.
My question is, whats the best way to fully delete the ABS? And does anyone in NYS know what will happen when it goes to yearly inspection? I'm assuming they plug in the vin and it comes up that its supposed to have ABS that it will fail?
Thanks in advance
