No interior dash lights and parking lights

I have a 90’ i have no running lights or interior light like in my cluster and ac controls.
I checked fuses and all is good. Headlights work good. Just put a new headlight switch in still the same. Looked at the wiring diagram and there’s a orange and black wire for interior light I can jump in and I get lights. Could the new switch be bad to ? Any ideas would be helpful
