OBD 1 diagnostic set up?
Afternoon all!
93 XJ, 4.0HO, 120K, AW4, NP231, OBD1  I am trying GIS as well, but struggling to find info. Is it possible to get a OBD1 cable that will plug into my laptop from which i can then use some freeware to run live diagnostics? What would these diagnostics tell me as well? I'm mainly interested in my MPG's, but im curious as to the possibilities! thanks!

Thanks Joe. $60 for the cable isn't too bad. i need to do some research on what the software can translate to me as well to see if it is something that i would be interested in. i sometime wish i had OBD2, but then i would probably have to pass emissions
no emissions for 96- in NC.
