is the auto tranny for a 94 ZJ the same as a 95 XJ with the same motor and tcase (I6/231)? i know the XJ is a AW4 is that whats in ZJs???

I think it has a 42RE Im pretty sure that they are not the same.

Very early 93 4.0 ZJs are rumoured to use the AW4.
Otherwise they all used 4xRE transmissions depending on engine.
