Heater issue maybe?

So I tunred the heat on for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I usually keep the setting for the heat on the lower setting during the winter. Now when I did it this time I noticed I had some heat blowing out the defrost vents for the front windows (NOT THE WINDSHIELD) as well as the lower vents. Now I can't remember this being normal and I know it has to do with vaccum when your Heat and Air controls act all screwy but its only the lower setting and it only comes out the the lower vents and the defrost vents for the the front windows but not the windshield. I have only disconnected the Vaccum bottle once and I made sure it was well connected when I put it back. Anybody know if this is normal? If not anyone know what I should do?
