swapping a 242 from my 87 to my 93, while doing this I am using the front driveshaft from the 87 for the rear of the 93, the question is does anyone know if the ujoints for the rear of a 8.25(93) are the same as the joints from the front of the 87? does anyone have specs on the ujoints of the xj's.

You are trying to use the front D-shaft from the 87 for the rear of the 93.....

The front D-shaft has the Double Cardan assembly on one end and a regular u-joint on the axle end.

The rear of the 242 is a slip yoke, and the pinion on the 8.25 uses a regular U-joint mount.
 
Well, I'm hoping he just forgot to add he was doing a hack n tap to the t-case.
 
yes of course I plan on doing gojeeps 242 sye trick to the tc before I install it,
 
So can anyone confirm this, are the driveshaft ujoints all the same for the different years and front and back?
