clear corners for my 98

I want some clear corners/turn signals for my 98 to replace my amber ones, but I've looked everywhere and can only find them for pre 97's. Anyone running these for the 97+ or know where I can find them? After seeing them on a few XJ's I really want some to clean up the look but I cant find any. Any help would be greatly apprecieated. Thanks guys.

Yep they are cheap (leak water) and are illegal in 50 states.

Got mine on ebay as well for my 99.

So far they havent leaked, and cops havent bothered me about them.

Why do you say they are illegal?

Your corner reflectors are supposed to be amber. So when you spot it at night the front is amber and the back is red. The same here in Canada. The blinker under the headlight can be clear. Some of the clear corners available dont even have a reflector its just a cheap chrome. Some of the clear tail lights without reflector ar just dangerous. Not enough output, no reflection: recipe for a new rear head... At least if you have a reflector, you are half way legal. And NO, chome is not a reflector.

Illegal on the west coast probably, but on the east coast and down south as long as you have an amber bulb in the clear lense, you will not be hassled by the cops. Every state is a little different, and I had a cop from Iowa and Maryland tell me that your lense can be any color as long as you have a amber/yellow bulb installed up front, but must be either amber or red in the rear. I've personally seen imports get away with blue front turn signals here in MD, it's legal because our laws at the moment are vague about what color the turn signals have to be, but the rear must be either red or amber/yellow. This should hopefully help, but your states MVA/DMV webesite will have all of the answers.....
