smokin battery wire

i went to start my car today and got nothing, so thinkin it was a dead battery i hooked some jumper cables up to it and a ground wire started smoking. i followed the wire and it was hooked up to some kind of fuse. the box is located behind the battery and has a bunch of other grounds connected to it. i have pics and can email them if needed

sounds like one of the wires to the starter solenoid... but picts would help

ok, here are the pics. the smoke was coming from the places i circled.

Take it (the wire) loose and clean everything good and then re-attach the wires. It is the positive not the ground. It was/is makeing a poor connection and the distribution center (the end not connected to the battery) needs all those connections real clean. Try that
