what did you use to get the heat tape and black tar up.

Well I am running behind on a lot of my projects on my jeep. I am hoping I will be doing my interior and monstaliner in the next 3 or 4 weeks. So before I just go at it I want to make sure I have the right chemicals or what ever to get those heat tape pieces up that have the black tar like goo under them. There is one in the rear cargo area. One in each floor board front and back and one over the Trans tunnel.

I am shampooing and cleaning my carpet out of the vehicle. All the seats are ready to come back out so the next free weekend I have I'm jjumping on it.

So did you use some chemical , or just a heat gun and scrape it up or what?
