Anybody know if an auto tranny from a 94 xj would fit in an 87 formally manual trans yj?

I believe the bolt pattern is same. Not sure about the rest as far as flexplate, TCU, and such

Technically, you could install a Torqueflite 727 in a Cherokee. AMC used the exact same bell housing pattern for both the V-8s and the 6s... Anything that would fit an AMC (check Novak) can go in behind our stuff.
