axle swap for a XJ

I've been out of the XJ world for almost 5 years now, but I'm gearing up to get another XJ. But I want to do a D44/ford 9 axle swap when I do find another one. My question here is, what year of D44 should I look for? And where is a good place to find the spring buckets/plates to weld to the front axle? I have spent a good chunk of today searching the forum and really haven't found the answers to my questions. Maybe I'm retarded and just couldn't find them, I don't know.:doh: But I would appreciate any help that you can give. Thanks.
