cracked manifold

i was lookin over my xj tonight and discovered a cracked exhaust manifold right b4 the 2 into one... lookin for suggestions on the best bang for my buck in a header or if they even give as much power as they claim...

I would like to hear your thoughts

I fitted an APN header last weekend and I'm happy with it. The quality is far better than I expected for the price. My only gripe is that the 1st bolt in the sequence cannot be torqued with a socket because the 4th primary curves over it.

Mine's been cracked for a while now too. Same spot. I'm gonna do the APN header as well. Ya might have to get a bit creative to get to all the bolts but I've talked to several people that had no problems torqueing them all to spec. I don't know...I've never done it but I can imagine that a few of them are hidden pretty nicely behind the curves. I've spent loads of time researching this area. If you search for APN* you'll find some threads. Our search engine wont work for 3 characters so that's the reason for the asterisk. Good luck.
