ok heres the deal i got a 94 2 door 2wd xj with a 4 banger in it ... trans is bad not sure what is in it a guy told me it was an ax-5...my quetion is can a ax-15 fit in it

so thats the only thing that would work??? only paid 250 bucks for the xj...that piece is double what i paid for it...lol

Yeah, I think you would be better off locating another AX-5.

I think it is the AX-5, which was used with the 2.5 from 87-89 and 91-95 on most reference lists I have seen, and the AX-15 was used behind the 4.0.

1. Check for a cast iron mid plate = AX-5, the AX-15 mid plate is aluminum.
2. Measure the case, the AX-15 is longer than the AX-5.
