XJ owner from Citrus Heights dies after getting stuck in the snow

that is so sad to hear. Snow wheeling can always turn dangerous in an instant-especially if you are alone. Whether snow wheeling alone or in a group, Always bring food , water, spare sleeping bags, heat source, socks, long johns, gloves, hat/beanie, extra clothes, even for just a day run- bring enough for a couple of days. and recovering gear, shovel, high lift, ply wood, if you have a winch, axe , saw, . I would

A group snow run doesnt mean your entire group wont get stuck out somewhere so always prepare as if you are alone.

Learned this lesson last week, while playing on some trails south of Minden I know very well. Wasn't a life threatening situation but it was very close to becoming a cold and miserable night. I will be putting together a survival kit to keep in the jeep.
