Befor I get started I did the search and found simular situations but Im still not sure.
The other day comming home from work my xj died like somebody turned off the key. I still had dash light just no motor. The last time this happend it was the CPS. I did find some burn throughs on the wire so I replaced the wire and not the censer. now it will turn over and idle and then stall after about a minute.Try to give it gass and it just dies either way.
I thought it was the fuel system so I replaced the pump, filter and regulater and still have the same problem. I have had most of the censers checked and still the same problem. I cleaned the TB and checked all connectos to the cencers and EGR and the ground wires as well. The only thing I can think of is that the short in the wire to the CPS killed the censer it self or maybe its the modual inside the distributer. What do you guys think? TIA
