Hi all.
My name is Evert and I'm from Australia. I just bought an XJ Cherokee 2.5 liter turbo diesel. Unfortunatly 10 km after the purchase was done and I drove away I blew the cylinder head gasket. I now have two options, get the gasket fixed for a few thousand dollars or get a new engine.
Has anyone ever put a new diesel engine in an XJ? I currently have a VM Motori turbodiesel I4 425 OHC in it (as it was sold in Australia)
Does anybody have some experience with putting in a VM Motori turbodiesel I4 R425 DOHC or a VM Motori turbodiesel I4 R428 DOHC? These are the engines from later Jeeps.
