Wiring up a kill switch?

Is there any way I could wire up a small switch to be able to keep the vehicle from running/starting on an '87 XJ? If so, what's the easiest way to do it?

Put a switch in the fuel pump wiring. JIM.

extend and run the ballast resistor wires through the firewall and into a switch in the cab somewhere.
Only thing with that is it will still start for about 5 seconds before it dies......

I'm going to run the switch through the fuel pump fuse.
