Just think how much $$ it saves them in MFG and lock assemblies. My folks call it innovative,I call it annoying and unsafe and BS. But I hate Fords so there ya have it.

I don't quite get the "unsafe" part of it....
Besides, before you go knock Ford I challange you to a duel. Go to every new car lot in your area and count door locks; report back to me.
