well i got my 4.5" lift on and took my jeep to a place to have them install my AA sye and tom woods driveshaft.. They called me and told me my chain was stretched out badly so i they got a new one and put it in. When I was driving home i got out to stop somewhere and smelled a wierd smell coming from my transfer case and it was hot. Is this normal, ive never felt the transfer case after i have been driving

The TC itself felt hot?? They could have just got some stuff on the cat and it was burning off or they could have not gotten the oil pump in the TC put back in properly..........actually there is quite a bit it could be. I'd take it back to them and have them check it out.
