Wanted winch dead or alive for mockup non integrated solenoid

I'm building a bumper for my XJ that will mount the winch feet forward and in place of the front crossmember. I will be using a standard non integrated solenoid 8k or 9k lb winch with the standard bolt pattern but I think I will need to offset it a bit for steering box clearance so does anyone have a junk winch lying around I could borrow for a week or so just for mockup? I will probably be picking up a cheaper winch in the next few months, I just can't spring for it now after Christmas and stuff. I figured its a long shot but somebody may have an old broken one sitting on a shelf somewhere???
