Trany Cooler Install???

I installed a power steering cooler and am in the process on installing a trany cooler.

1) Which line is the return line - top or bottom?
2) Do I still want to go through the radiator or just through the cooler? If I go through the radiator I want to do that first and then through the cooler correct?
3) If the return line is the bottom hose, can I just splice into that hose vs. replacing the fitting on the radiator? I for see issues trying to get the old fittings lose....

Anything else I need to know?

Is this for an AW4 trans??

If so, the line coming out of the front of the transmission is ATF (out) pressure side.

Seems like most, including myself, have bypassed the radiator exchanger. If you live in extra cold climates maybe you should keep the raidator in the loop.
