Yeah, I'm grateful. VERY grateful.

Even with all the crazy crap going on in the world, my family and I have been sincerely blessed this year-and I really feel the need to testify.

I'm personally blessed to have a wonderful woman that I've been married to for 25 years- and she's STILL unbelieveably cute, fun, funny- and generally just my best friend.

THIS year, I took my own blessings ( a generous company bonus, and a reasonable income tax return ) and bought the Mrs. the vehicle she DESERVES.

I'll ALWAYS be an "XJ" guy, but DAMN, that WK sure is a pretty vehicle! I took her out the other night in a snowstorm, and I was sincerely impressed, and PLEASED that I put my beloved behind the wheel of such a trustworthy vehicle. I can't speak to "today's" Jeeps, but I'm really impressed with what D/C put out in 2004... 13K and 33K miles. What a DEAL!

Nice xj! Never had the cash for the nice ute! To all future posters If I see a lot of :flame: I will close and remove the thread.

It is an open forum.

No loss if it is closed.

Thanks for stating the obvious in a unappropriate post. Not necessary at all.

Nice looking Jeeps! Congrats!

Sorry if this was post was "misplaced". I intended to offend NO ONE.
I'm just tickled pink with what I've managed to do- it feels like I've worked a lifetime to win over a whole family. The kid was EASY-
All married guys can relate to the "rest of the story".

My wife has stared at "Ugly" in the driveway for years- and driven "Jap Crap" that was just inappropriate for our lifestyles and New England environment. I'm feeling pretty lucky that I won her heart, and won her over on owning her OWN Jeep.

She was always a fan of "Ugly"- we've gone to some pretty breathtaking places her junk wouldn't go, but this was a "turning point" in life, if you will.
Thanks for just letting me brag a little, In a place I've felt like "home".
It's NOT an XJ- but we all have to start somewhere!
My KID will be in the '01 XJ I've been eyeballing.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad that you are doing fine, and that you are happy.

My contention is with Ghost, and the threat of closing a thread due to flaming. It is an open forum, if you make a post, be ready for the positive and the negative.

Do you think the Nanny role will deter people?

Trailbst- Eat me.

Congrats....and may God bless you and your family throughout the years to come.....and may each year be better than the last, but not as good as the next!!!

Congratulations on your blessings.
Just remember to thank God for everything (Job 1:21-22).

A note about this forum: Be prepared for :flame: whenever you mention God or Jesus.
Other religions get a free pass.

Oh, a note to Fergie:
Greek Fire to you!

Bring the Flames, I'm prepared. I've seen that behavior all throughout the web, not just THIS site. It's STILL a free country, and I wore a uniform for 20 years to allow ANYONE to say ANYTHING they wanted, as long as it didn't endanger anyone else.

To all who recognize what I've said, and appreciate the depth, THANK YOU.
I wasn't going on some religious tirade- just giving public thanks for something I've dreamed of for years. I'm driving 17 year old "junk", and I'm grateful beyond words that I can finally put my wife behind the wheel of something she can be safe in- and that just ALSO happens to be a JEEP!

Thanks for the compliments guys- we worked really hard to get to this point, and I'm just speechless by this new member of our family!

I'm STILL always XJ, until I die. But I have to "warn" folks that the WK guys are pretty serious about their "whips" too- and I've been humbled to understand WHY.

So I guess the "extension" of this thread is more, "what happened to Jeeps?" There is nearly nothing I would own from today's selection of Jeeps.
Mrs. let me take an SRT-8 for a test drive this past weekend, in thanks for buying the GC- and that's just stupid-fast, and meant for pavement.

But it brought a smile to my face to mash the skinny pedal, and see what happens next. Like strapping a rocket motor to a brick, but I don't think it was built to be "friendly" to the environment anyway.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I thought that the 04's were still WJ's, and the newer 05 body style was the beginning of WK.

Regardless, Nice collection!

I know where you are coming from, I'm working on getting mine a new(er) one too. Her last one was OK but it's getting up there in years. Now if we don't get knocked off our feet again like the last 3 times.

Glad you were able to buy it and that your wife likes what you got her. I got my Fiancee a 96 grand a few months back because of the weather she's been getting in Oregon. yep, with all wheel traction she stayed on the road just fine, that v-8 kept up with traffic perfect. Its a good thing the grand is a strong beast because the guy driving a cowmarow that slammed into her a week after I bought it wasnt able to walk away like my fiancee did, bet he wished he had a jeep when he hit that black ice!!
