I apologize in advance for a slight thread highjack ... I have a 98 and would love to do this swap. Do I need to look for a donor from another 98 or can I use a 99 also? Thanks.

Q: How can I tell which cluster I need?
A: 1997 gauge clusters do not have the Lift Gate Ajar symbol under the tachometer and say "Check Engine" under the speedometer instead of the symbol for check engine. 1997 clusters also say "SECURITY" in place of the Sentry Key Immobilizer symbol.

There is the possibility of some 1998 models using 1997 clusters and wiring. So if you have the lift gate ajar symbol then anything 1998-2001 will work.
