stock front 30 to 44 complete

converting to a 44 complete front I am told that most likely im going to have to shorten the front drive shaft... Is this done by chop sawing the spline an inch or so? has anybody done this?

You'll have to shorten the tube, Best to take it to a driveline shop. I didn't have to shorten mine but I also pushed my axle up about 1.5" ish when I swapped in my front 44.

Yeah, it gets the welds ground off, the tube shortened, re-welded and then rebalanced.

Finish the 44 swap, measure and then take it in. Usually runs between $40 and $75 depending on the shop and takes an hour or so.
