You might try removing the negative battery cable for about 15 minutes, and see if that erases the codes......

Sounds good and even i thought of that...the mechanic actually took my xj to a friend who is a master tech at Keffer Jeep (dealership)...this is not gonna cost me anything and this should figure it out.

Turns out it was the trans control module...replaced at 0$...end of this story(thank god!)
