As for the no fill plug, Ford axles usually have it in the differential casting. The smaller ones do, at least(9'', 8.8...)

Well there was a mix up and my cover got shipped to my billing address instead my shipping address. This resulted in an extra $45 dollar charge. What do ya know, I emailed Steve at Solidaxle and they are going to pay for it.
Can't beat stand up service!

I just got mine today. It has a fill plug just above and to the right of center of the "SOLID" that is cast into the cover.

i don't think it will be a problem. i can't remember who it was, but someone on here was running 1 ton otk steering with a solid cover-it was close, but did not hit. maybe whoever that was will chime in?
