Sluggish wipers - any ideas?

I just replaced the wiper motor on my '95... helped with low being too slow but high was no different.

Fixed high speed by replacing the intermittent module. picked one out of a '89 at upap.

Interesting.

My washers wouldn't work on a '93 I had... intermittent module fixed that problem too.

My rear was extremely slow and would stop.

I took the motor apart and found the shaft was seized to the brass/bronze bushing.

I pressed it all apart, lightly sanded it all down, lubed it up good and put it back together.

I was totally shocked at how fast the rear wiper sweeps now.

My point is it could be your motor, wiring, linkage or the actual shafts the wiper arms go onto.

The only way to tell is to take it all apart and check everything.

If you suspect the intermittent module, take it out and plug the harness back together. It will run the motor fine, just don't use the intermittent positions on the switch.

I actually never noticed the wipers acting any differently after adding the ground. I listed it in the write-up just because the wiring diagram showed that. LOL. Glad it helped.

I noticed the gauges and their lights though!
