Site surfing problems (SLOW)

Need some help here. This started about 2 months ago. If I browse the site as a "guest" , I have no problems with site pages loading. Once I sign in using my screen name, it takes about 35 seconds for any page to load. My system is as follows:
P4 1.8Ghz, 640Meg RAM
DSL running at 1.3 meg download
Cisco Wireless router ( I am using the ethernet hook up)
Windows ME
I have ruled out this computer as the symptoms are the same when running an older P3 1Ghz system, Win 98SE. I have ruled out the internet DSL and router system as my brother can hook up his laptop with Win XP pro and does not have any troubles. The only thing that I have not done, is to have him sign in using my screen name to see if that is the problem.
Any ideas or further information needed, I can be emailed directly [email protected] or CountryXJer on AIM and [email protected] on MSN messenger(primary messenger).

Odd, looking at your account, there is nothing unusual with it on this end.

Try what I quoted from your post and see what happens.

OK, I will consider this issue solved, as I have seen you log in with multiple accounts on on computer, and no feedback.

Glenn, Problem still exists. I cleared all of the cookies and the internet caches to no avail. I also logged in as Easy Xjer and there was no problems using his log in. He also had no problems logging in as me at his home.

Can you guys give me anything to work with on this? Please.
OS, browser & version, ISP, and a traceroute to .org And DO NOT forget a very important aspect... which forum SKIN are you using.

What I would suggest is you do a traceroute when things are working just fine. Then when you are experiencing an issue, do another traceroute. It would be helpful to compare the two in order to isolate the issue.

I occasionally experience a timeout. My traceroutes usually show a bad link between me and the server. But usually if I think it is timing out, I can hit the "stop" then "reload" button and it pops right up.

In a nutshell, the more info you give me to work with, the better I can troubleshoot the issue. Otherwise it is like dropping your Jeep off at a mechanic with a note that says "Sometimes it does not work well, please fix". Know what I mean?

And I have no idea what a traceroute is, but 'Im on Windows/Firefox/Cox/Red-n-Grey.
Also, I can hit the refresh button 10 times, if I want, but it doesn't help.
While it's working on a connection, I can click on any of the links in my bookmarks and get
that link immediately, but if I try to reload naxja.org, it does the same thing 'til it's ready to finally load.
Does it when I try to submit quick replies or when I've edited a post.

No, not helpful at all. I really need a trace. Depending on OS, Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>Command Prompt

At the prompt, you need to type in:
tracert naxja.org Then hit the Enter button on yer keyboard. See "hop 7"? That is an issue between my computer and the servers. Not a problem with the server or my connection.

To be really helpful, EVERY time you have performance issues, it always good to get atleast 3 traceroutes for Glenn to look at IF the latency is at the Naxja server stack.

Highlight the text in the CP window, Then open a reply window here and simply "right click". It is like medicine bottles.... child proof.
