Sorry Mako - I don't log in often.

When I posted, we were loading up the XJ for my kids camping trip. A roof rack was an obvious good idea at the time. He is now off somewhere along the Oregon coast.

I am now thinking your rack is overkill for his needs, if we don't leave it attached to the XJ, I picture it sitting along the side of my house.

I am going to pass for now.

If for some reason he comes home next week and claims a roof rack would have been perfect, I'll check back with you.
