Phil Remington passed on to the racetrack in the sky...
For those of you who don't recognize the name, he was a master fabricator and racecar builder.
He helped with the design and construction of the Ford Shelby Cobra, and the Ford GT 40 (you know, the car driven by Dan Gurney at the 24 hours of Le Mans that kicked Ferrari's butt...) among other great endeavors... Like the 1992 Eagle MkIII GTP sports car that STILL holds a track speed record at Daytona Speedway 20 years later. And most recently the Delta Wing...
Godspeed Phil my friend... It was both an honor and a privilege working with you throughout the P-car program at AAR...
Meet you at the track again some day my friend...
