Eaton doesn't list a Detroit TrueTrac for the 8.25, as far as I can see. I like that unit ... planning on putting one in my Firebird.

I know for a fact the TrueTrac for the 8.25 does exist. I bought mine from RWKHaus a couple months ago. IIRC I couldn't find it listed on his website and didn't find it until I emailed him about it and then he replied with the link to it.
