Question for winch owners

Okay, I'm starting my second metal fab class soon, I want to build a winch bumper for my nonexistent winch.

What I need is some basic measurements of the size of the winch opening and tray from some of your winch bumpers.

I'm thinking that I'll get a 8000# winch most likely a Warn. I just don't want to build something that I can't fit it into.

personally I wouldnt spring for the warn, when i could probably get this for 1/2 the price...
