I have that sure, but when you dont have a speed sensor in a 1996 and up XJ (OBDII), the check engine light comes on. When that happens in Atlanta, Georgia, you cant pass your emissions inspection. Thats where the problem comes in. I even cleared the code right before getting my truck inspected with my Scan Guage, but the guys at emissions could tell because the computer had no memory. So I failed the inspection. Hence the reason for the 241OR with the 4:1 (and speedo drive).
I called tons of people to figure out a way to get the VSS signal by some other way, but to no avail. If it was a EFi chevy engine, it would have been easy with the driveshaft pick-ups you can buy, but no one makes something with the correct pulse for a Jeep.
