I cleaned it up the best I could given the fact that my grinder took a dump. I wet sanded it down ending at 320 grit.

This is where I ended:

I put 2 coats of sandable primer down and I'm going to let it sit for a day or two before putting down another 2 coats of primer.

My question is, how should I go about the top coat. I picked up some krylon rattle can because it's the closest match I could get to factory color. I know kylon likes to come out very thin so I'll have to watch for runs.

How many coats would you guys recommend. Also, is a clear coat necessary or will a wet sand followed by rubbing compound work the same?

Thanks for any tips.
