As I look at your pic I did notice you are missing a green plug. It may or may not be wrapped in foam.

Before you pay for it... verify that it has the plug you need.

I'm 99% sure it does, but second guessing myself... and I don't want you to buy something you don't need based on my advice.

on the pic above the two plugs to the right are for under dash lights and underdash speakers. both of which i hooked up today.
no black plug though

so the ohc is installed and all the lights are working properly.
obviously nothing else works because i don't have the black plug.
i got an extra plug and all 3' of wiring attached to it.
i will now hard wire this plug into the jeep.
i need help on knowing what each of the 5 wires is used for.

1. BLACK w/ white stripe
2. BLACK w/ green stripe
3. ORANGE w/ black stripe
4. BLUE w/ orange stripe
5. PURPLE w/ green stripe

purple with green - one of the temp sensor wires, detailed this on page 1
orange with black - should be the display dimmer signal if I recall correctly
black with green - I think this was logic ground for the compass but I'm not sure
black with white - either a ground or ignition switched 12V, not sure
blue with orange - sure it isn't blue with red? I think this is for the parking/interior lights, again, not sure

I'll see if I can find the reference I used to hard-wire one for a friend of mine.

seems I switched the orange/black and blue/orange (probably what he lists as blue/violet, I seem to recall mine being either blue/red or blue/orange as well.) Your black/white wire is probably actually black/light blue and is the other temp sensor signal, I think. I got the black/green wire and purple/green right.

it could be black with blue

so if i hard wire this in, the (purple w/green) & ( black w/light blue) goes to the temp sensor.
black w/green is ground
orange w/black is dimmer

whats the blue w/red do?

Overhead Console Front Wiring Harness
pink-1 -- constant power for forward map lights
pink-2 -- constant power for rear map lights
black -- constant ground for map lights
white/black -- switched power for console computer
black/green -- constant ground for console computer ("logic ground")
yellow -- switched ground for dome lights
violet/green -- temp sensor signal
black/blue -- temp sensor ground
blue/red -- headlamp signal (for brightness control)
orange/black -- dimmer control
