The 91 beater I got has D30 up front and a C8.25 in the rear, with a 3.55 axle ratio. The axle should be strong enough for my needs (towing construction equipment and materials through mud basically), but I will need to regear to 4.88 in order to have enough torque for towing with larger tires.
I have no experience in this part of automotives. What do I need to get, what kind of budget am I looking at, etc? Would it just be easier and cheaper to go with junkyard D44 front and F8.8 rear?
Thanks for any help
