N San Diego County Meet & Greet Tues 3/6 6pm!

It's at 6pm TUESDAY NIGHT 3/6/12 at Lamppost Pizza & Backstreet Brewery in Vista (North San Diego County), north of 78 just off Vista Village Drive.

It's the SoCalXJ group's monthly M&G (first Tues of every month), and there are many attendees who are on :: also.

We hang out on the back patio around the firepit table, (most of us pay in & share pizzas & beer), til 8 or so, and then hang out in the southeast parking lot for a while afterward. And they've instituted an all-night Happy Hour, so beer is cheaper!

Come join us!! You do not have to drive an XJ to show up, though rigs are always welcome. Kids are welcome too .

If it's raining too much to be outside, we'll probably be in the back room by the bar, but if you can't find us, ask our regular server, Amber, where we are.

My Jeep registration 2 month extension is up on Thursday, and it failed the last smog. I've been working on my Jeep for the past few nights. I'm pretty close to being ready for another test. Cleaned up the K&N air filter, new O2 sensor, seafoamed the TB, sea foam in the tank, fresh oil/filter/atf, fixed 3 out of the 4 vacuum leaks. Just waiting on some more parts at Napa. Going to pick them up after work, put them on.

If I go it all, it'll be a little later after the parts are in. That's what the "I think I can" was about. Feel like the little wrencher that could. Trying to get everything done before Thur.

I still have to drive it to the smog station. I'm a PD magnet. I don't want to give an officer more reasons to pull my over with an expired tag.

thats what i mean, it generally isnt worth their time to pull you over for a $10 fix it ticket. After 6 months it's a different story and they will impound it. Unless you got a meth lab in there or a warrant, i wouldnt worry.
i just got mine smogged a few minutes ago and it passed, but barely. everything was decent but hydrocarbons were at the absolute high limit. Might not make it next time...

They look at me, and think "Meh, why bother". Sometimes it's good to be low key.

Glad to have made it after I got most of my vacuum lines done. Churchills afterwords was fun too. The Jeep passed smog this morning. Although something is for sure wrong here :
