When I first got my '88 Cheroke 4.0, one of the many problems I encountered was weird lighting symptoms. I don't even remember specifically what they were. I found the wiring in front of the radiator to the right side was melted together in many places. The reason was foglight wiring that wasn't fused properly. I removed the crisp fog assemblies, repaired all of the wiring, and today while fixing a fan relay problem, I discovered a relay just above the radiator temp switch area. The wiring under it has also been overheated, and I hope and suspect it is a factory fog relay maybe? Everything else is working, so I'm not worried about it, just curious.
