god damnnn what a few weeks its been!
Build day was Jan 10th-- Ran into some issues with the X-member bolts snapping, the RK 3 Link bracketry not being so friendly with the T&T frame Stiffeners, this led us to finishing just the front.. (lifted it more then i expected..) It was helpful having some good guys from my local club and a good shop to use!
Early Start to the Day
Parents will be happy! :roflmao:
What have i done...
Rode it home and parked it for 2 weeks just like this.. raked out!
Then life jumped up and got me! Girlfriends Grandfather became extremely ill and we had to go up there (hour away) every single day and schools started and blah blah and then Two full weeks later im back into the swing of things and started work again on it.
When i got home i was so put back by this build.. i got in way over my head this time and re-thought my whole "jeep idea".. then being away from it for 2 weeks I tore into it with a new attitude and sold some stuff and talked to some jeep guys today that got me going again!
In the garage ready for some rear end play..
Sold my 31s today 300 bucks cha-ching and sold some other nic-nacs 100 more bucks cha-ching!
Had to put the 33s on it
Size difference between the 31x10.5a/t and the 33x10.5 mt
(Dont want to show the front end yet.. its to tall.. im hoping when i get the rear done itll look good! haha )
Camaro rs 89 92 came by and picked up some stuff and brought me new u-bolts! GREAT GUY!! Thanks a lot really got me going on this thing!
Cut the old U-bolts off (one year old and they had real rusty threads!)
Got the old axle out of the way! Got everything disconnected except the e-brake cables!
and undid the center bolt came off like butta! then slid in the long AAL from the back!
Big ass clamp and wiggling the centerpin and new shim into place!
Got the new axle ready to go in it! the DPG bumpstop plates ready to go and the new u-bolts on! thing is starting to take shape!!!
This is how it sits now! and will be getting the JKS hd shock mounts welded on the rear axle tomorrow, and the brakes switched, bleed and buttoned up and then some pictures then alignment but befor the alignment a possible switch of coils up front depending on how the back comes out!
