To keep things from becoming to confusing I'll ask one question at a time.
First a little background on the swap so you now what I have to work with:
My jeep is an 89 base with a BA-10, 4.0, 231.
The donor jeep is a 90 laredo with AW4, 4.0, 242.
Due to differences in the in the wire bundle I will be swapping the complete set. Both trannys have 21 spline output.
Question 1
I'll start with an easy one that has to do with the park interlock cable on the auto tranny shifter.
On my manual tranny jeep's steering column there is not a rod to connect to the park interlock cable as on the donor with the auto tranny.
What will be the affects of not having the park interlock connected?
I expect that it will not have to much affect. The steering wheel will not lock when it is put in park but it will lock when the key is off as it does now.
