As mentioned i would bet on new pins and springs. Open up the housing and check the gap between the two halfs and compare that to the manufacturer specs, if its too close together it wont unlock reliably or at all.
This lock-right lasted over 10 years of moderate to hard wheeling, so I can't complain. This pic shouldn't be a deterrent for the lock-right, It worked great for me for a long time. I had a Detroit ready to go in.
I DID hear it go. Loose hill climb with wheel spin did it in. Drove it about ten miles back to the trailer. Fawker wouldn't turn at all!
No truss, but I do have a beefy rock crusher cover.
