So, to recap this thread, here's what we've got:
· Clean the beast
· Put in a new air filter
· Add gas stabilizer to a full tank of quality fuel. Run this entirely through the lines
· Make sure the cabin is as dry as possible – run the heater. then Spray the interior with Lysol.
· Top off the antifreeze
· Change the oil & filter and aid oil stabilizer
· Squirt some oil into the cylinders
· Remove the battery, coat it with Vaseline & store it in a plastic bag
· Plug the intake at both the suction end and throttle body
· Put the truck up on jackstands, lifting the weight off of the axles and supporting it by the frame. Air down the tires
· Place mothballs under the wheels
· Plug the tailpipe with an old sock stuffed with brillo pads
Upon return:
Change fluids
Disconnect the fuel pump and crank the engine a few times to pump some oil through before running.
