After installing the 35's on my XJ, the guy at the tire store said that they had inflated them to 30 psi, and then he said that it might be a little too much pressure for a vehicle that size. As I was driving away, I was wondering why the "tire expert" inflated them so much if it wasn't the right pressure.

So my question is: what is considered ''normal'' for tire pressure for running around town/freeway? I only deflate them for offroad use, but don't want premature wear from overinflation while on the highway. :looney:

put a heavy chalk line across the tread of the tire, drive down the street, adjust until chalk line wears evenly.

30 is about right, 32 if you got heavy bumpers/winch, etc.
