Has anyone actually bought the jeeptubes.com fender armor with tube flares for the Cherokee? I am planning to add front fender skins and rear quarter armor, and would like to incorporate tube flares. I have been looking at THOR skins and JCR rear quarters with light boxes. Yes i know about HORE, i've seen the thread on them, and don't like their sloppy fit/finish.
The Thor skins are only 16g and $160. The Jeeptubes skins are $190 but 11g. Both are countersunk. For $30 I think I'll take the 11g which is twice as thick at 1/8" vs the 16g which is 1/16". Then I'll be looking for tube flares, which jeeptubes sells for $98, can provide up to 5" of coverage, but you still have to provide the sheet metal to finish the flare.

In the rear I'm pretty set on the JCR quarter guards with tailight boxes. It seems everyone has them and is happy with them, I like their light setup for the 97+, and the rub rail. However I will likely not include the rub rail since I want to do tube flares, which again are $98 from jeeptubes. The JT rear armor I'm pretty sure is the same as the old THOR rear armor. More on that in a minute.

My concern with the jeeptubes rear flares is that on the DIY kit picture, they don't actually cover the front of the wheel well. On the picture of the actual tube flare kit, they very clearly bend down to cover the front of the wheel well...so which is it?
I did find on the Thor website that they sell XJ specific tube flare kits, which are identical pictures as the Jeeptubes.com sets. In fact, the picture of the flare on the fronts is the same picture/jeep as the one used for the front fender flares on the Jeeptubes site. I think I recall that Jeeptubes acquired the thor products, but both websites still list them. This begs the question of whether the jeeptubes front skins are actually 11g or not.
I have contacted jeeptubes, waiting to hear back, its sunday so I can't call. But really what I'm more interested in is the fit and finish of everything but the JCR boxes (ive seen those plenty). Does anyone have any of the jeeptubes products or the Thor front skins?
Now, for one more wrench/question in the mix. I did find some tube flares from genright offroad meant for a TJ that are bolt on, but can be welded. Given that I had stock TJ flares on for a few years, I'm thinking it might be possible to add the GR flares to the JCR guards, which is pure speculation. Might even have to run them backwards depending on how they shape up with the wheel well. However the damn things are $300 which is a little ridiculous, but they are already finished. Anyone tried this?
