Is there a CT safety inspection?

I was at the DMV today getting my temp registration to go get an emissions check and the guy there said they just hook up the computer, no comprehensive vehicle check but the guys I work with all said there is......I'm still gonna velcro my fender flares on but wondering if I should worry about anything other than my crappy exhaust?

There is no inspection in CT, just emissions testing. which is really easy, my 95 passed with very noticible exhaust leaks, and my 99 with throwing a O2 sensor code randomly.

There is no safety inspection, just emissions, and like he said, 96 and up is a plug in test.

The only things you need to have to pass- catalytic converter, cel must be on with the engine off, and no cel with the engine running.

lucky they have to spin the tires on earlier years and most places won't do it for me cuz my tires are "too aggressive"

As long as the light isnt on at the time, and the computer has had enough time to reset the monitors, it passes.

Then again, I had a subaru pass this morning with a dead skip and a flashing cel
