heat problem????

i have no heat i live in FL but i am spoiled by heat year round and it is getting a tid bit cold this time a year nd my heat doesnt work here is what i know:

previous owner rebuilt motor
he also didnt have a upper hose where heat goes into fire wall


does anyone know what i need to do to get heat back???

I live in Orlando, its nippy in the mornings all right!

Do you see the heater core fittings still sticking out of the firewall? If so you just need to fit some heater hose, install the necessary control valve in between the core and engine block, attach the vacuum line to it, and flush-refill-burp the system of air.

But if the heater core was and is leaking...you may only find out after going to the trouble of restoring its coolant circuit!

Verify heater core is working and not leaking ? Get a heater control valve and run hoses from water pump to valve to core.

Just get a long length of heater hose 5/8 i think and get it all together.

Before puttuin the heatervalve in...take a garden hose and run it through the top fittinfg and the bottom fitting of the heater core...should have clear water coming out.......THEN put the heater valve in the line...
