Are you talking about the lamp itself or the housing? The lamp is a screw in and the housing is way to deep and tall.

'94 ZJ uses a composite housing and H4 style bulb.
'98 XJ uses a traditional square sealed beam halogen.
2 totally different animals.........

Watch ebay I have seen both Hella and Cibie headlight housings that accept H4 bulbs that are reasonably priced. These are e-code and great setups.
