Hard start/ backfire

Just to update everyone.....It was the fuel pump, in a way. When I got the tank dropped, and the FP assembly out, I found that the small hose that goes from the pump motor to the pressure regulator had split. I replaced this little piece of hose, and all my fuel pressure woes went away. Thanks for all of the help guys.

That hose, either cracked/split, or just popping off has been coming up lately.

Glad you got it fixed, and thank you for posting back to finish the thread, it will help someone else down the line.
